Mathews Plans for Full-time in ‘17
(Ann Arbor, Mi-June 1, 2016)
Two years out of the seat and most drivers aren’t volunteering for another year off, but Kenny Mathews has decided to take some time and have a proactive approach to 2017;
“Over the past few years there’s been a number opportunities, but it’s always a case of short lead times not allowing us to put together a competitive package with the right Team & Marketing Partners. That is the driving factor in deciding to take most of this year and focus solely on preparing for 2017.”
With preparations underway for next season, Mathews feels one of the keys to success will be getting a head start on the competition; “The plan is to compete in a few events this fall and have a full slate of pre-season testing so we can start 2017 in top form. With that being said, we still have a tight time line to assemble the right Teams & Partners for our fall schedule as well as organize plans for testing and the ’17 season. Given our work over the past few years, and the time dedicated solely to 2017, I’m confident we’ll be starting with a solid foundation for an amazing season.”
